QotD: New Car
If you were forced to buy a new car today, what kind of car would you get?
Not sure I'd need to be forced (assuming the funds were supplied) and would have to wait a while but think the Fiat Punto Abarth is about the right mix of affordability, Italian'ness, fun & practicality to live with in the real world. Its a got a 1.4 turbo petrol engine, delivering 116 kW/206Nm mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, which gives it a top speed of 208 kmh, like that matters in NZ, and sees it dash from 0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds.
But, to be honest, this one - the real daily drive - is just fine!
* It's a sign of progress that the Bravo's 2.0 Litre 5 cyl the 115kw output is similar to the 1.4 Litre Turbo Punto!
