Matt takes me back to Antarctica
The whole Ice Coffee series is amazing but Matt's telling of the FIDASE expedition surveying the Antarctic Peninsular was particularly impactful for me.
I can still scarcely believe I've been there, never mind seen those sights and experienced (albeit in far more comfort) some of what they endured.
This episode, EP169. has tales of sailing the Neumayer Channel (we did), watching the 'sunset' blush on Antarctic Mountains (I did), changing plans after meeting grounded icebergs (we did), visiting Port Lockroy (we did), and adventures on Deception Island (we did).
