Inspired by Matt & Bec's "A Problem Squared" item on what item costs a Pound (currency) and weighs a Pound I was prompted to look for the most expensive item in the local supermarket.
Ages ago I remember noticing, while shopping for boring old toothpaste, that tooth whitening solution was some hundreds/$ per 100 grams.
However, that is just a fraction of the most expensive/100g item I found in Woolworths NZ. An eyebrow pencil at $13,500/100gm, and that is with 25% off!
