Two rides to mark a seasonal change and milestone (kilometre stone?) of Time Out NZ 2021 - 2022.
Western cycle path improvements, under Patiki
Nice to see the new Patiki underpass open. This replaces an over-head bridge; narrow, steep and bumpy. The underpass looked quite low, tight, during construction but the result is a nice open swoop under the Patiki interchange. Pity they haven’t done the same at Carrington Rd and St Lukes!

Just the usual City waterfront ride today but my first look at the new Te Atatu Rd cycle under-pass. Looks great and means a few metres less climbing and one busy road crossing avoided. Work continues on the Waterview tunnel access motorway. It was hot riding but low tide and
