The road tolls for too many
I saw a tweet comparing U.S.A. / U.K. road toll statistics: I'd say you wouldn't want to drive on US roads on holiday this summer. The UK has a population of 65m; the US is six times bigger at 325m. However, deaths on UK

First cycle ride up Maungakiekie/One Tree Hill since the road was closed to cars. So nice and packed with humans and dogs enjoying the walk without traffic. Much more peaceful on the summit without the constant carpark shuffle, and for once no drones!

I’ve passed this Alfa Romeo parked on the roadside many times. Finally stopped and took the photo that was begging to be taken. Alfi the car, meet Alfie the dog.

The Flying Spaghetti Machine clicked up its 240,000th kilometre on the way to work this morning. Is that a milestone?
Driving along the motorway, at 80 km/h, and glance across the before changing lanes. A cute toddler in a vehicle, matching my speed, a couple of lanes over caught my attention; She was sitting in the front seat, not far from a panoramic windscreen, cradled in her mothers arms…
I like driving but was thinking in car tonight. When commuting by car/bus/train life begins when you get home. By bike as soon as you leave work. — Robin Capper (@robincapper) December 27, 2017 https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

I prefer Italian cars (for both irrational and rational reasons!) but if was in the market for a Japanese one the Suzuki Swift would have been top of the shopping list. After years of making worthy but dull small cars (Cultus, Ignis etc) they hit the jackpot with the Swift.
Seeing a double at the traffic lights
Great new(ish) podcast where Victoria Coren Mitchell interviews famous women about their life and the cars that had been a part of it. http://pca.st/op29

On the way home from BimAkl happened to notice, and pull over for a photo, when the Bravo odometer hit 222,222km!
