Waitakere
An attempt to video one of my favourite Waitakere Ranges descents was somewhat curtailed by catching up to a Fun Cargo. Thanks to @FallenRedNinja‘s tweet, seen earlier in the week, I had an earworm for the rest of the ride! Dear twitter, I am far too pleased with myself

First cycle ride up Maungakiekie/One Tree Hill since the road was closed to cars. So nice and packed with humans and dogs enjoying the walk without traffic. Much more peaceful on the summit without the constant carpark shuffle, and for once no drones!

The interior ventilation fan on the mighty Bravo started making an annoying noise - tick, tick, tick – then stopped entirely. Given it runs almost all the time, not much airflow without it, I guess 16 years spinning had taken its toll. I imagined you’d need to pull the dashboard

Traffic Light Thoughts
I prefer Italian cars (for both irrational and rational reasons!) but if was in the market for a Japanese one the Suzuki Swift would have been top of the shopping list. After years of making worthy but dull small cars (Cultus, Ignis etc) they hit the jackpot with the Swift.
