2018 Blogging Highlights

Another year has flown by and it is nearly 2019. Autodesk Design 359 - Because it currently can't complete the circle

When is a project lifecycle system not a lifecycle system? Say you have a system which uses a single database and project management system, for multiple connected applications, spanning multiple phases of a project, from design to operation. Say one of those products, in fact the primary one the system is promoted with, has a compulsory file format upgrade between annual versions. If the core collaboration database/project cannot handle that upgrade it is not a lifecycle system. Ride/drive distance planning with Windows Map + Ink

Want to plan a ride/drive and just need to know a rough distance for a few options; grab the pen, Map > measure distance, scribble, scribble, scribble, done. The “Pen Directions” option does the same, with turn instructions, between each end of an inked line but tends to be too aggressive enforcing minimum distance between them to plan fun meandering rides.
