Another year has flown by and it is 2015. Time to look back at 2014 from a bloggy (not just CAD) perspective:
Best Blog Event:
It was great to meet fellow AutoCAD bloggers in March for an introduction to AutoCAD 2015 and a look behind the scenes of how it was created.
Best Comment(s):
I like it when people comment on a post that has helped them. To be honest I post these fixes to save me having to remember them! Even old posts on Outlook HTML formatting of URLs and Live Writer (how to change the local post location) from years ago are still getting attention. Some blogs close off comments, one reason I don’t do that, but do use moderation.
Best Podcast:
I discovered Leo Laporte's Triangulation podcast this year. Although it has a tech focus the guests and conversations are wide ranging.

Blog Surprise?
The trip was not a surprise, booked in 2013, but was surprised to find I could have blogged from the middle of the Himalayas!
I chose not to organise mobile data but was surprised how good the service was, considering.
Using hotel Wi-Fi could read my blog in Tibet but couldn’t get to the TypePad Dashboard to create posts. Post by email worked and the ‘Friendship Highway’ from Lhasa to Nepal was lined with solar powered cell phone sites. I doubt they are there for the convince of bloggers though…
Blog Concern:
I still like using Microsoft Live Writer to compose off-line but it seems Microsoft are ignoring it. Be nice to get a Universal app update of Writer for phone, pc and tablet. Anyone at Microsoft listening?
