Neville of NevOn has some interesting comments from GM on the success of the GM Fastlane Blog.
I think its a great way for a corporate to break through the barriers of Press and PR and talk directly to the people that matter most – customers and partners. I learn more about Autodesk from Shaan & Chris, Microsoft from Robert and GM from Bob than from any formal press releases or marketing programs – so who’s doing a better job at PR?
Both have their place but both are needed.
I have mentioned at work that a Warehouse Blog would be a good idea for exactly the reasons quoted by GM in Neville's interview. Will it happen? I dont know but hope it does.
