Driving along the motorway, at 80 km/h, and glance across the before changing lanes. A cute toddler in a vehicle, matching my speed, a couple of lanes over caught my attention;
She was sitting in the front seat, not far from a panoramic windscreen, cradled in her mothers arms… no sign of a seat belt… certainly no child seat…
But it was a bus, so that’s both legal and considered ‘safe’.
Why? Don’t the laws of physics apply to buses?
* The photo is from the compulsory Tibetan (Chinese) bus which took us the last few kilometres to Everest Base Camp but the sign seems appropriate.
