It’s been a long time since Lancia had a right hand drive model to offer. They were here until the demise of the RHD Delta, Prisma, Thema and their retreat to LHD only.
I even remember seeing a few Gamma Coupes before they dissolved. I still fondly remember seeing/hearing three road spec Lancia Delta Integrale’s swoop past, I had a 903cc 127 so it wasn’t hard, in formation chasing the International Rally in the back blocks of the Waikato. They are rare in NZ so to see three at once was quite a sight.
Perhaps the return to the U.K. market, and RHD, means a return for Lancia in New Zealand?
They have a swish new logo for the re-launch. Lets hope they sort out the styling which has been fairly appalling since the demise of the 80’s Giugiaro lines. This line-up would not have me rushing to the dealer…
Thankfully the concept work coming from Lancia Centro Stile looks far more promising.
