Got an email about other ways to follow the Rally, radio & podcast. The radio is a great idea as often the hardest place to follow the rally is when you’re chasing it.
Hi Robin
You might care to know that World Rally Radio is broadcasting on FM over the rally weekend - and doing it from an aircraft at 20 thousand feet! It's on 88.2 at the Service Park at Mystery Creek, but while the stages are live, the WRC Comms plane is relaying the broadcast on 105 across the rally footprint. It's thought to be the highest radio station in the world and a probable first for sport. We've been trying to organise this experiment for years - and well done the NZ Ministry of Economic Development for allocating the frequency and letting us do it.
WRR is free to air on wrc.com – http://www.wrc.com/page/RallyRadio/0,,10111,00.html
and the free WRC Podcast can is on http://www.wrc.com/page/Podcast/0,,10111,00.html
It can also be found on ITunes if you do a search under wrc - that way you can subscribe (free) and never miss an episode.
Hope this helps. Enjoy the weekend!
Best Wishes,
