Organ Donors needed

I wouldn’t wish this on anyone but it’s a sad fact that some will be in the position where they are potential organ donors. New Zealand is desperate for organ donors but it’s important that if you make the decision to be a donor that your relatives are aware of your wishes. Ultimately they may make the final decision when you are not able.

I understand there are cultural and religious reasons for not donating but I think that it’s something that all should consider. At a time when you are beyond help to give life to others is a wonderful act. I’m a registered donor and only wish I could thank whoever donated the kidney that has kept my mum alive for the last 8 years.
