Maybe there isn't one?

I was half listening to National Radio on Sunday while working and heard a comment, I think an extract from the Mainstream Media Project, where a religious aid worker faced a dilemma.

A father who survived the horror of clinging to a tree while helplessly watching his family being washed away in the Tsunami asked him “How can God let this happen”. He said could not answer it in any meaningful way.

I thought of one answer which avoids all the moral & theological conflicts he was struggling with…
