Back in 2007 I called "Align, the forgotten AutoCAD hero" as it can move, rotate and scale in one operation yet it didn't get a toolbar/ribbon button! Heidi has posted a great introduction showing the various pick and command options:

The ALIGN command has been in AutoCAD for as long as I can remember and it would get my vote as “the most underappreciated command”.


While it will manipulate AutoCAD geometry you can also scale and align images. Just draw a line to the correct “known length”, select the two corresponding points on the image and use the scale option to rotate, scale and place the image perfectly in a click.
