Character amnesia and the death of handwriting?

Have you forgotten how to write? I pretty much have, cursive lower case anyway!
When I did my Product Design Diploma, for three years, it was a requirement that all submissions (not just drawings) were printed. I pretty much converted to upper case printing for all my writing and never went back.
When Tablet PCs arrived, I used a Microsoft app to capture my—even then terrible—scrawl as a Windows Font. I deliberately just wrote as do for my own consumption, not a 'tidy' version for posterity'!
With keyboards replacing most writing, and what little I do being printed, I have almost forgotten how to write lower case to the point of having to think about letter shapes when I do. Add 'character amnesia' to my 'features'!
