Back to fixed width

I’ve gone back to a fixed width format for the blog after trying variable width centre column as found weird things happening to the layout. Some articles mucked up the whole page which doesn’t occur with fixed. If it looks a little narrow on your high res CAD monitor its because the design is based around a 1024 width.

One thing I notice is the number of people (non-CAD users) who still work on low resolution (800x600) & low refresh rate monitors (60hz!). If you alter the settings (esp refresh) they are often amazed at the improvement. Its rarely a hardware limitation these days, just never been set-up properly.
