Autodesk University Prep 1.08 - Post my AU Blog Banner (Done!)

The new banner isn't from AU 2009 because I don't have a time machine. Way back in 2006 I was heading back to the hotel (AU2006 was at the Venetian but I stayed at The Flamingo) late on a cold night. It was the sort of weather that even makes a city sparkle so I walked a bit further down the strip and headed up the Paris Tower. It was windy up there and very cold (like about 0°c). Hand holding a little IXUS camera was quite difficult but the resulting photos were worth the effort.

In the distance you can just see Mandalay Bay, AU 2009 venue, and in the foreground a site, and a sight, that I suspect looks rather different today. City Center was just a big hole in the ground back then so it will be interesting to see how this view has changed as it is due to open in December.
