Auckland V8 Street Race - Have Your Say

There are plans to host a round of the V8 Supercars in Auckland City. This will be a street race which is getting a lot of comment from those who use the streets. I commute via this area daily but think that the benefits from the event will be worth the disruption. Have your say at the website set up by the promoters and council. I've put in my "Yes" vote.

The other 12 rounds of the championship are held in Australia, and include street race circuits for the Gold Coast Indy 300 in Surfers Paradise, and in Adelaide for the Clipsal 500.
We understand that hosting this event will be a challenge for the city, however it can be done, and the benefits would far outweigh the inconvenience. By working together to make this happen Aucklanders can have an enormous sense of achievement and could really take pride in this event."
