Anna Maria Jopek & Pat Metheny
Just heard a nice track by Anna Maria Jopek from the disc Upojenie.
'Bugman' Rudd Kleinpaste (he’s an entomologist) was the guest on “Playing Favourites”. Its a section of the “Saturday Morning” program, on Radio NZ’s National Radio, where guests get the chance to share some of their musical favourites. Rudd chose one of Anna’s and I liked what I heard.
Anna Maria Jopek is a Polish singer and collaborated with Pat Metheny adding lyrics (in Polish) to some of his tracks. It was the first time I’d heard this disc and will have to get it.
