A Biofuel Future, not for everyone...

When you discuss the “peak oil” problem, often Biofuel is mentioned as an answer. While it’s likely to be part of the solution this great post on the Tesla Motors blog explains why it won’t be the solution for everyone. The basic problem is that plants just aren’t that efficient.

If you haven’t already heard of Tesla Motors you soon will. They have announced a radical electric sports car which, if it meets the claims, will revolutionise how people regard electric cars. It looks more than a little like a Lotus Elise because it uses some Lotus technology, engineering and production. This sports car is just the beginning for Tesla, the first of a full model range. Of course the next thing that will happen, if you believe conspiracy theories are true, is that an oil company will buy and shutdown Tesla…
